Introducing today’s flash fiction! Too bad today isn’t an actual full moon…
It wasn’t her fault… he just happened to walk down her street during the full moon.
Now, in the first light of dawn, he was a pile of bleeding flesh and torn muscle, bite marks apparent on his body.
Oops.
Jessica pressed towels into his wounds as she glanced around. No one else was here. The homes around her own had been abandoned for years, which is why she chose the neighborhood. No one came over, no one to entice her when her mind wasn’t her own.
Except for this fool. Or the occasional junkie, but she never had issues with eliminating them. This guy, he smelled clean.
Brown hair, strong jaw, muscley. Maybe he’d been attractive if she hadn’t torn him to shreds.
Double oops.
She couldn’t let him die, but she wasn’t sure she could keep him alive at this point without a doctor. And she was a long way away from the pack she’d left.
But if he lived, he would turn into a werewolf too.
Triple oops.
His blood flow slowed, but his heart stayed strong. She sniffed the wounds on his chest, searching for a trace of wolf musk.
Yup, there it was.
He was going to live, probably.
Jessica kept pressure on the towels until the man stopped bleeding. The morning sunlight blazed strong when he shuddered. Once, twice, then his eyes popped open, a brilliant orange.
Great, now she had a werewolf to train.
At least he’d be hot, once the scars healed.
